How to adjust your sync settings with ServiceNow

Use this guide to adjust any sync settings for your ServiceNow integration in ScalePad.
Navigate to Integrations, and select ServiceNow.


Enable Two-Way SyncTwo-Way Sync - Two-Way Sync allows ScalePad to propagate warranty dates to and from certain integrations.

  1. Navigate to Integrations and select ServiceNow
  2. Under Enable Two-Way Sync Fields, check the appropriate boxes to enable Two-Way Sync for these fields
  3. When you're finished, click Save ServiceNow Setup

Select configuration item statuses to sync

Selecting the respective checkboxes will sync the specific configuration item statuses into your ScalePad account. Likewise, un-checking a box will remove that configuration item status from syncing to your account.


Select configuration item tables to sync

Selecting the ScalePad Asset Type from each corresponding drop-down menu will map the respective ServiceNow Configuration Item Table, to that hardware asset type.

For example, mapping cmdb_ci_server configuration item tables to Server means that all your cmdb_ci_server assets will show up as servers in ScalePad.


Sync assets without serial numbers

While we're unable to perform warranty look-ups on hardware assets without serial numbers, there is value to add these assets to your ScalePad account.

  1. Check the Include Devices Without Serial Numbers box
  2. Click Save ServiceNow Setup
