ServiceNow syncs your hardware assets via API to ScalePad

Use this guide to integrate ServiceNow to ScalePad.

Integration instructions


  • Administrator user credentials for ServiceNow and ScalePad or member permissions of Manage Sync Settings selected

Create a ServiceNow Integrator account

One-Way Sync permissions

Read access is required to the following tables:

  • core_company
  • cmdb_ci
    • And any additional cmdb_ci_ * tables that contain devices you want to sync
  • cmdb_model
  • cmn_department
  • cmn_location
  • domain
  • sys_choice
  • sys_user

Two-Way SyncTwo-Way Sync - Two-Way Sync allows ScalePad to propagate warranty dates to and from certain integrations. permissions

All One-Way Sync permissions above plus write access to the following cmdb_ci table fields:

  • cmdb_ci
    • purchase_date
    • warranty_expiration


In ServiceNow

  1. Create a ServiceNow integrator account (see above)

In ScalePad

  1. Enter your integrator account and instance details on the add integration page
    • ServiceNow Hostname / Base URL of your instance (see below)
    • Username
    • Password
    • Multi-factor Authentication Code (optional)


Base URL

The base URL is the URL you have in your web browser—everything after ‘https://’ but before the next forward slash.

  1. Select Organization Name Mapping
    • Map ServiceNow Companies or Domains to ScalePad Organizations
  2. Enable Two-Way Sync Fields (optional)
    • Warranty Expiration
    • Purchase Date
  3. Select Configuration Item Statuses to Sync
  4. Select Configuration Item Tables to Sync
  5. Include Devices Without Serial Numbers (optional)
  6. Click Save ServiceNow Setup


Setup successful

When you click Save ServiceNow Setup, ScalePad will perform a full sync. When finished, you'll be able to view your hardware assets in your account.
