Introduction
You have the ability to configure ScalePad for each of your managed organizations. Customize their warranty coverage options, and generate reports accurate to how their businesses operate.
Account Settings will be used by default
If you decide to not customize settings for an organization, the global Account Settings will be used by default.
Access Organization settings
To edit the settings for a specific Organization:
1. Navigate to your Organizations page


2. Select an Organization from the list


3. Click the Settings tab
Hardware
These settings are similar to our Account Settings article, but instead they are organization-specific. This means:
- When you generate Hardware Lifecycle Reports or Scheduled Reports, they will be unique to this organization
- Hardware assets specific to this organization will also have a customized replacement age and "Due soon" setting


Replacement
- Click the Customize button to enable custom hardware replacement settings for this organization.
- Set the average hardware replacement value for each of your hardware asset types.
- This ensures the most accurate data on this organization's Hardware Lifecycle Report.
- Use the Maximum replacement age to determine when a hardware asset is recognized as overdue.
- ScalePad will use the warranty expiry date as the end-of-life date by default unless changed.


Due soon threshold
- Click the Customize button to enable custom due soon settings for this organization
- Set the number of days prior to your hardware assets' expiration date, to be recognized as "due soon" for replacement
Lifecycle report
- Click the Customize button to enable custom lifecycle report settings for this organization
- Check the boxes to show the respective features on your Hardware Lifecycle Report
- Uncheck any of the boxes to not show them on the report


Warranty Coverage
These settings are similar to our Account Settings article, but instead they are organization-specific. This means:
- You'll only need to adjust your warranty coverage settings once, and they'll apply to every cart for that organization
- If an organization has a preference for when they'd like to renew their coverage, you can specify that in their own due soon settings
Cart
- Click the Customize button to enable custom cart settings for this organization
- For each hardware asset type, you can set organization-specific settings for:
- Markup percentage
- Coverage length
- SLA option
- Co-termination
Due soon for warranty coverage
- Click the Customize button to enable custom due soon settings for this organization
- Set the number of days prior to your hardware assets' expiration date, to be recognized as "due soon" for warranty coverage


Regional
These settings are similar to our Account Settings article, but instead they are organization-specific. This means:
- If you have organizations in different regions of the world, you can customize their settings here
- This data can result in more accurate opportunities and reports
Format
- Click the Customize button to enable custom format settings for this organization
- Display currency: Choose which currency will display on your reports for this organization
- Date: Select the date format you'd like for your reports for this organization
Organization-specific settings walkthrough complete
Your settings for a specific organization should now be personalized. Keep in mind that your settings automatically save when changed.
